DAY 22, CHAPTER 22 – INTERCEDING
FOR THE LOST.
Today we are considering chapter twenty two of the book under review “Interceding for the Lost”
Isaiah
66:8
Who hath heard such a
thing? who hath seen such things? Shall the earth be made to bring forth in one
day? Or shall a nation be born at once? For as soon as Zion travailed, she
brought forth her children.
Galatians
4:19
My little children, of
whom I travail in birth again until Christ be formed in you.
Paul travailed
(interceded). It was a spiritual activity. It is an intense suffering in the
inner man. It is comparable to the pangs of natural childbirth. It involves real
intercession.
Are you still interceding
for the lost? This question is for you and I… think about it.

FOR DELIVERANCE.
Today we are considering “Praying for deliverance”
2
Thessalonians 3:1-3.
Finally, brethren, pray
for us, that the word of the Lord may have free course, and be glorified, even
as it is with you. AND THAT WE MAY BE DELIVERED for unreasonable and wicked
men, for all men have not faith But the Lord is faithful, who shall stablish
you, and keep you from evil.
This verse says “…pray
for us…that we may be delivered…
We should never take an
urge to pray lightly. It may make the difference between life and death to some
other soldier of the cross...

"THE ART OF PRAYER" - DAY 20: (SEPTEMBER 2016 - A MONTH OF BOOK REVIEW)
DAY 20, CHAPTER 20 – PRAYING
FOR THOSE IN SIN.
Many revelations has been discovered from studying and reviewing this book, you will agree with me if you have been following the step by step method adopted for the past 20 days, that this book is full of revelations. However, it’s important to patiently finish the study in other to get the best from it.
Today been the twenty
day, let’s consider the chapter twenty of the book. “Praying for those in Sin”
2
Corinthians 5:10, 11.
For we must all appear
before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done
in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.
Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord we persuade men…
It is sure and certain
that Jesus coming is near, and His coming will be like a thief in the night,
where no one knows the day, time in which he will come.
It will be difficult and
impossible for those who are living in sin (the sinners) to reign with him in
heaven. It is our duty to preach Christ to the sinner and prayer for their
repentance, so they can be safe from the Judgment of God to come.
Knowing
therefore the terror of the Lord we persuade men…
How effective and
efficient are you in persuading men to turn their life to Christ?

"THE ART OF PRAYER" - DAY 17: (SEPTEMBER 2016 - A MONTH OF BOOK REVIEW)
DAY 17, CHAPTER 17 – GROANINGS
IN THE SPIRIT.
Today we are considering the seventeen chapter of this book “groaning in the Spirit”. We have gone far in this book review.
Romans
8:22-27
One way the Holy Spirit
helps us in prayer is in groaning and also in praying in other tongues.
We may not know how or
what to ask in prayer so that our prayer will correspond with our real needs.
The Holy Spirit moves us with groaning which we cannot express in words and
helps us direct out desires to the proper objects. Also to help us to be
specific is a part of the groaning. These groaning are according to the will of
God and express His care for us. Although we cannot understand the groaning,
they are intelligible to God. He always responds.

understanding…
DEVELOP INTEREST IN LEARNING NEW THINGS....
Develop an Interest in Learning a New Things..
Time are changing and things are happening. More discoveries are being recorded daily; that is why those things making waves today will command little or no attention tomorrow except you do more. This is the reason you must not rest on your oars and must always be at alert.Be resourceful.
You are loaded with resources, in terms of mental, time, energy etc. Make use of them to get what you need. People are discovering easier, better and cheaper methods of doing things. This is why you must be creative. God created man to be a creator; there is a creative ability in you.
Make good of those innate potentials and affect your generation positively. If you look around; you will see new products everywhere. Also new methods of doing things are being discovered daily. For instance, new machines with improved efficiency in terms of performance and delivery are being invented for products, even at reduced cost.
You must position yourself for these changes or you would become irrelevant. Be assertive. No one will give you chance in life, you have to make use of whatever opportunity that comes your way. Make yourself relevant where you are. Without being violent, make sure your voice is heard and your presence is noticed and "Don't Let things happen to you - Happen to things"...

"THE ART OF PRAYER" - DAY 8: (SEPTEMBER 2016 - A MONTH OF BOOK REVIEW)
DAY 8, CHAPTER 8 – KNOWING
GOD’S LOVE
To intercede effectively, you must know the
great love God has for all humanity. Today being the eight day of our review, “Knowing
God’s Love” takes the center stage of our studying and review. Enjoy as
we review together.
Ephesians
3:19… And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be
filled with all the fullness of God.
Since the love of God is
in us and the love of God has been shed abroad in our hearts, we are to be kind
like God is kind – to the unthankful and to the evil. – Uhmm that’s deep.
Jesus purchased a gift
of salvation for anyone who would accept it (Eph 2:8, Rev 17:17). God commands all
men everywhere to repent (Act 17:30). His hand of mercy is extended to all
mankind.
Therefore, our
intercession for all men is not so much for God to extend His mercy. This He
has already done through Jesus.
Our intercession is
mainly to break the bondage that the devil has over men. The devil has blinded
men (2 Cor 4: 3, 4), we are to loose the sinner from the blindness that he may
see the Light.
2
Corinthians 4: 3, 4 – But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are
lost: In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of the which believe
not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God
should shine unto them…
This is a call to us as
believers to center our intercession in saving the lost that God had died for.
Let’s
review further this chapter to understand what it meant in knowing God’s love.

"THE ART OF PRAYER" - DAY 7: (SEPTEMBER 2016 - A MONTH OF BOOK REVIEW)
DAY 7, CHAPTER 7 – LOVE:
THE FOUNDATION FOR SUCCESSFUL PRAYER
We are progressing well, and I believe the time we’ve spent so far on reading and reviewing are worth spending. Today, we shall be considering the seventh chapters of this book today title “Love: the foundation for successful prayer”. Stay tune.
Roman
5:5: …… the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost.
When you were born
again, God became your father. He is a love God. You are a love child of a love
God. You are born of God, and God is love, so you are born of love. The nature
of God is in you. And the nature of God is love.
Matt
5:44-45 – But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do
good to them that hate you and pray for them which despitefully use you, and
persecute you….
The reason we can do
this is because of the manner of love the father has bestowed upon us.
The major foundation for
believers’ successful prayer is LOVE, Love is the basis for all
Christian activity. Compassion is an ingredient of divine love.
How do we know this is so?
– Because God so loved the world that he gave Jesus. And Jesus so loved us that
He gave Himself for us.
So how does love form
the foundation for our prayer? Let’s dig deep into the reading of this
chapter…

"THE ART OF PRAYER" - DAY 6: (SEPTEMBER 2016 - A MONTH OF BOOK REVIEW)
DAY 6, CHAPTER 6 – THE
PRAYER LIFE OF THE BELIEVER
The sixth chapters of this book “The prayer life of the Believer” form the center of our review today the sixth day of the month.
As we studied yesterday,
the provision of God for humanity was perfect, complete and appropriate given
us His only Son – Jesus who intercedes on our instead. Glory be to God in the
highest.
The Prayer Life of the
Believers should follow suit the pattern of Christ, As Christ intercedes for
us, we too should intercedes for others.
1
Timothy 2:1-2 – I exhort therefore,
that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of
thanks, be made for all men, for kings, and for all that are in
authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and
honesty.
Christ is the Head. We
are the body. The head and body are one. We are one with Him in carrying out
His work in the earth. He is the Great Intercessor;
therefore, we are one with him in His intercessory ministry, which includes
prayer.
The bases of our prayer
life should be to pray for others, and also for our country. Are you taking out time to prayer for your
country, for the authority, for the leaders? If not why don’t you consider it
from now to intercede for this country? And you will see great things happening.
This chapter is loaded and
you can’t avoid missing this chapter…

"THE ART OF PRAYER" - DAY 5: (SEPTEMBER 2016 - A MONTH OF BOOK REVIEW)
DAY 5, CHAPTER 5 – MAN’S
NEED FOR AN INTERCESSOR.
We are making progress in reading this book “The Art of Prayer”, many thanks to those who have been following the trail; I must commend your time for moving along.
Today, being the fifth
day into the review we shall be considering the fifth chapter of the book, “Man’s
Need for an intercessor”.
From this chapter, we
understood the Greek word “Parakletos” translated “advocate” it
was used in a court of justice to denote a legal assistant, counsel for the
defense. An advocate, then, generally, one who pleads another’s cause.
In Job 9: 32, 33 – Job
needed one who would be able to lay his hand on him and a hand on God. He
needed one to stand between him and God and plead his case.
Isaiah 59:16 – And he
was that there was no man and wondered that there was no intercessor: therefore
his arm brought salvation unto him and his righteousness, it sustained him.
God saw that there was
no intercessor, so he supplied the need. He sent JESUS.
Jesus, Our Intercessor –
I Timothy 2:5, Romans 8:34.
Jesus is the mediator
between God and Man. And he is always making intercession for us.
Jesus died on the cross
of Calvary to take away our sins and washed us clean from the stain of sin.
This action alone qualifies his to mediate, advocate and intercedes on our
behalves.
Don’t you consider this
as a privilege, friends Jesus has paid the price on the cross of Calvary; he died for you
and me. Please don’t allow his death to
be in vain upon your life. Give, surrender your life to him, let him be the
Lord of your life. Confess your sin to him, Accept he died for you and Believe in him and
you shall soon enjoy the associated blessings of the cross.
This chapter is loaded and
you can’t avoid to miss reading this chapter…

"THE ART OF PRAYER" - DAY 4: (SEPTEMBER 2016 - A MONTH OF BOOK REVIEW)
DAY 4, CHAPTER 4 – INTERCESSION
DEFINED.
So today, we are
considering the fourth chapter of the book, “Intercession Defined”. In this
chapter, I want to draw our attention to the first sentence which says the
purpose of defining intercession or any other kind of prayer is not to limit or
confine prayer to a set of rules and regulations.
Intercession is inspired
by the Holy Spirit. It goes beyond being legalistic and mechanical. The most
effective prayer is the prayer the Holy Spirit inspires which is needed at the
moment.
Briefly defined,
intercession is standing in the gap in prayer between a person or persons, who
have provoked judgment upon themselves through their wrongdoing and actual
execution of that judgment.
The Scripture is full with
examples of men who stood in gap; we can see the account of Abraham over Sodom
and Gomorrah in Genesis 18: 16-33, Abraham’s prayer for Sodom and Gomorrah is a
clear example of the prayer of intercession.
Also Moses stood in gap
for the children of Israel in Exodus 32: 7-14, If Moses had not stood in gap
for Israel, they would surely have been destroyed in judgment.
This chapter will not be
concluded without mentioning the outstanding example of an intercessor, our
Lord Jesus who stood in the gap for us and now intercedes for us.
This chapter is loaded
with the full details and explanation of intercession and examples of
intercessors, I therefore enjoin you to dig deep into it by reading along…

"THE ART OF PRAYER" - DAY 3: (SEPTEMBER 2016 - A MONTH OF BOOK REVIEW)
DAY 3, CHAPTER 3 – SUPPLICATION
DEFINED.
As we make progress in the review of this book (The art of
Prayer), it’s expedient for me to say that we are not just reviewing for the
sake of it, but to help us understand the principles of prayer as it apply to
us and to acknowledge the fact that prayer is one of the strong parameters to work and
walk with the God.
So today, we are considering the third chapter of the book, “Supplication
Defined”. In this chapter, I want to draw our attention to for
whom can supplication be made? & for what can supplication be made?.
I want you to know that for you to receive anything
whatsoever, you must first of all request, invariably your requisition leads to your acquisition.
But in the case of supplication, it is much more heartfelt
than casual request. The word supplication means a humble, earnest, entreaty or
request. Therefore, if a request is not
made in a heartfelt, fervent and earnest manner, it would not be supplication.
This chapter is loaded with the full details and explanation
of supplication, I therefore employ you to dig deep into it by reading along…
